Americans are waking up to political reality. This election offers us an opportunity to take back our government from special interests. The Jack Abramoff scandal revealed to us the depth of right-wing deception.

The Iraq war is based on false information and the flawed judgment of our leaders. The presence of American troops fans the flames of the insurrection. What we resist persists.

The way to counter terrorism is to provide an environment for peace. The party in power is committed to throwing good money after bad. The party that realizes that we must turn the country back to the Iraqi people is the Democrats.

Evangelical Christians are realizing that the Bible assigns stewardship of the earth to God’s people. That is all of us. Global warming threatens God’s earthly kingdom. One party is the Grand Oil Party, compromising our environment for oil money. Evangelicals are returning to the party that consistently supports sound environmental policies — the Democrats.

Catholics are coming home to the party that supports social justice — the Democrats.

Our country was founded on the liberal principles of freedom and democracy. Liberals have been demonized in the same way Hitler demonized Jews. Liberal Republicans are now hard to find. Neither party is perfect, but one party consistently represents the interests of everyday Americans and supports the principles on which this country is based — the Democrats.
