Police and fire calls

The following log is based on reports from the Holmen and Onalaska police and fire departments.

Onalaska Police Department

Monday, April 28

12:33 p.m. — An Onalaska resident reported someone stole a $10,000 deposit containing checks and cash from Manny’s from her car while the car was parked outside a Highway 16 business in the previous hour.

7:56 p.m. — An Onalaska resident reported someone stole three puppies, two video game systems, a DVD player, change, 30 CDs, six necklaces, a ruby ring, two diamond rings, a pair of silver earrings and video games worth a total of $1,300 from her home.

8:56 p.m. — A 24-year-old Onalaska man was arrested at Second Avenue and Main Street on two warrants. The man also was arrested four days later on Jackson County warrants for damage to property and disorderly conduct.

Tuesday, April 29

8:45 a.m. — A 52-year-old Onalaska woman was arrested at Highway PH and Braund Street on a Germantown warrant.

2:47 p.m. — A McMillan, Mich., resident reported someone stole a diamond ring, a gold and diamong ring, a silver ring, a pair of diamond earrings and other jewelry worth a total of $4,500 while staying at the Comfort Inn three weeks earlier.

Wednesday, April 30

10:01 a.m. — A 43-year-old La Crosse woman was arrested at Second Avenue North and Quincy Street on a Houston County warrant.

12:05 p.m. — An Onalaska resident reported receiving a counterfeit $10 bill.

12:30 p.m. — An Onalaska resident reported someone stole his driving glasses worth $200 from the back yard of his Braund Street home 11 days earlier.

5:37 p.m. — A 22-year-old Sparta man was arrested in Sparta for retail theft of a pair of shoes worth $55 from Kohl’s and on a bond violation. The man was subsequently arrested on two Monroe County warrants.

Thursday, May 1

10:46 a.m. — An employee at Wells Fargo reported receiving a counterfeit $10 bill.

10:50 a.m. — An Onalaska resident reported a hit-and-run accident with property damage to the rear driver’s side quarterpanel and bumper of her car in the Wal-Mart parking lot 10 days earlier.

Friday, May 2

4:13 p.m. — An Onalaska woman, age unavailable, was arrested at her home on a La Crosse warrant.

4:28 p.m. — An 18-year-old Onalaska woman was arrested at her home for resisting arrest, obstruction, two bond violations and on a warrant. Her 38-year-old mother was arrested for obstruction and on a bond violation, while her 16-year-old sister was cited for obstruction in connection with the incident.

Saturday, May 3

2:41 a.m. — A 22-year-old Onalaska man was arrested at Highway 35 and Riders Club Road for drunken driving.

8:59 p.m. — A 19-year-old Sparta man was arrested at an Onalaska home for domestic disorderly conduct, trespassing and harassment.

Sunday, May 4

4:10 a.m. — A 19-year-old Onalaska man was arrested at Second Avenue North and Locust Street for domestic disorderly conduct.

1:06 p.m. — An Onalaska resident reported an entry to the garage at her Main Street home in the previous 24 hours.

5:49 p.m. — A 27-year-old Sparta woman was charged with retail theft of $20 of merchandise from Farm and Fleet.

8:06 p.m. — A 41-year-old Onalaska woman was arrested at her home on a warrant.

Monday, May 5

9:15 a.m. — An employee at Heider Motors reported his and a neighboring business, Solid Surface Specialists, were hit with paintballs overnight.

Tuesday, April 29

9:59 a.m. — A 10-year-old La Crosse boy was referred to juvenile authorities from the Family & Childrens’ Center after hitting, kicking and attempting to bite staff.

8:19 p.m. — A 40-year-old Onalaska man was arrested at Circle Drive and Highway OT for drunken driving after rear-ending another vehicle in the McDonald’s drive-through.

Thursday, May 1

11:22 a.m. — A 12-year-old La Crosse boy was referred to juvenile authorities from the Family & Children’s Center for disorderly conduct.

Friday, May 2

2:41 p.m. — A 12-year-old La Crosse boy was referred to juvenile authorities from the Family & Children’s Center for disorderly conduct.

Sunday, May 4

12:59 p.m. — Assisted La Crosse County Sheriff’s Department with a Holmen resident who reported a male attempted to punch and stab her at Roth Field on Brice Prairie the previous evening.

Onalaska Fire Department

Tuesday, April 29

12:36 p.m. — Fire call at Onalaska Middle School for a bomb scare.

11:29 p.m. — Fire call on Highway PH for a gas leak.

Wednesday, April 30

3:47 a.m. — First responder call on Troy Street for a person feeling weak.

4:38 a.m. — First responder call on Critter Court for a person with chest pain.

12:19 p.m. — Fire call on Main Street for a brush fire.

5:42 p.m. — First responder call on on Crossing Meadows Drive for an unspecified medical problem.

7:06 p.m. — Fire call on 13th Court that was a false alarm.

10:05 p.m. — First responder call on Mason Street for a person with abdominal pain.

2:18 a.m. — First responder call on Critter Court for a person who couldn’t stand up.

12:53 p.m. — First responder call on 10th Avenue North for an allergic reaction.

7:30 a.m. — First responder call on Schafer Drive for a person with difficulty breathing.

9:13 a.m. — First responder call on Main Street for a person feeling ill.

8:45 a.m. — Fire call at Highway 157 and I-90 for a traffic accident.

3:42 p.m. — First responder call on Second Avenue North for a gall bladder attack.
