Holmen High School senior Emily Longmire, the daughter of Sue and Greg Longmire, earned a nod as the school’s Student of the Week because of the dedication shown on her senior art project, which involved many hours of work.

“Her dedication to this unique, artistic endeavor plays a major role in the completion of it,” said art teacher Liz Schank, who nominated Longmire.

Despite the work involved, Longmire finds that art class actually is the most relaxing part of her day. She also is involved in One by One, Renaissance, Student Council, Art Club and SADD.

Longmire, who plans to attend the University of Minnesota, finds this quote inspiring: “The ones who find success are the ones too busy looking for it.”
