The next Gundersen Lutheran Getting Older, Living Better program, titled "Healthy Aging and Eating," will discuss how and why nutritional needs change, explore community resources to assist with healthy eating and provide fun recipe ideas.

“Healthy Aging and Eating” will take place from 9:30 a.m. to noon Tuesday, June 24, at the Southside Neighborhood Center, 1300 S. Sixth St. (corner of Sixth and Hood), La Crosse.

As part of the program, Janet Roth of the Gundersen Lutheran Nutrition Therapy Department will present information on changing nutritional needs as people age. Noreen Kuroski, director of the La Crosse County Aging Unit, will discuss how to integrate fresh fruits and vegetables into a diet and provide information on the home delivered meal program and senior dining room programs.

Other wellness professionals will also be on hand to answer nutrition-related questions.

The cost of the program is $5 and pre-registration is due by Monday, June 23. For more information, call Gundersen Lutheran Community and Preventive Care Services at 775-4717.
