The following log is based on reports from the Holmen and Onalaska police and fire departments.

Onalaska Police Department

Sunday, May 18

12:36 p.m. — The owners of the Shadow Run Lodge reported that they had been paid with a rejected credit card by someone connected with the 5 Rivers Production who had sponsored a fight night at the OmniCenter. The company had rented eight rooms, secured over the phone with a credit card, which was later denied. When the company was called, they said the motel was trying to change the bill from the quoted rate, but would pay with a check, which they left at the motel on a Sunday. But the check bounced when it went to the bank on Monday.

The company still owes for a bill of $761.50. The case has been referred to an investigator for possible charges of defrauding an innkeeper and issuing worthless checks.

Monday, June 9

3:49 p.m. — A West Salem woman reported someone had smashed the rear window of her car while it was parked at the Wal-Mart parking lot. Nothing appeared to be missing.

4:21 p.m. — A 58-year-old man reported a theft from his auto while it was parked on the 900 block of Oak Avenue North.

6 p.m. — A 24-year-old man reported someone had broken into his car and stolen 80-100 CDs worth $1,500.

Friday, June 13

9:46 a.m. — A 34-year-old woman on the 1500 block of Franklin Street reported being harassed by a former boyfriend. He had been released from probation in May and had since been trying to rekindle the relationship, which she consistently rejected. He became angry and has been threatening to beat her up or have someone else do it. He had been broadcasting the threats on channel 3 of the CB radio. The man was subsequently arrested in Sauk County for failing to appear for second degree sexual assault, battery and false imprisonment charges. Charges of stalking or disorderly conduct are being reviewed by the district attorney’s office.

Tuesday, June 17

7:48 a.m. — A 63-year-old man reported receiving a call from a female saying “I just wanted to tell you your life is in danger and your wife and children are going to be killed.”

Wednesday, June 18

9:10 p.m. — A 23-year-old West Salem man was arrested on the 400 block of Main Street after directing profanities to small children watching a game at the ball fields on the 500 block of Quincy Street. He was charged with bailjumping, obstructing and had two outstanding warrants against him.

Holmen Police Department

Saturday, June 7

9:42 p.m. — The Kwik Trip on Holmen Drive reported a gas drive-off of $53. The vehicle observed on video surveillance is suspected to be involved in a number of drive-offs in the area.

Sunday, June 8

4:53 p.m. — Two boys, 17 and 16 years old, were charged with criminal damage to property for slashing a tire on a bicycle belonging to a 14-year-old boy on the 1500 block of Wolfe Drive. In the past the two older boys had threatened to beat up the 14-year-old.

Monday, June 9

2:37 p.m. — A 17-year-old girl was charged with disorderly conduct, assault and battery for fighting with a 15-year-old girl at Holmen High School. She had grabbed the other girl by the hair and slammed her head against the glass doors at the front of the school.

Tuesday, June 10

3:10 p.m. — A 15-year-old boy reported someone had stolen his calculator and his MP3 player while he was in gym class at Holmen High School. The items were not locked up.

5:59 p.m. — A 22-year-old man was cited for disorderly conduct by phone for making harassing phone calls to a woman on the 200 block of Troy Street. He also made racial comments. He said he was intoxicated and wished he could take the words back.

9:58 p.m. — Police assisted the La Crosse County Sheriff’s office in responding to a call on the N7000 block of Highway D for a 17-year-old boy threatening his parents.

Wednesday, June 11

1;53 p.m. — Two Holmen men, a 45-year-old and a 41-year-old were cited for disorderly conduct for an altercation at the Kwik Trip parking lot.

3:11 p.m. — A 24-year-old Galesville woman reported someone had stolen stereo equipment from her vehicle while it was parked at the Northern Engraving parking lot. Stolen were subwoofers, a battery pack and amplifiers, worth a total of around $950.

3:30 p.m. — A 29-year-old man reported his storage shed on the N7000 block of Sunrise Lane had been entered and some tools were stolen sometime over the weekend. Stolen items included four diamond head grinders one large saw, one small saw and a wet saw, with a total value of $4,780.

Thursday, June 12

3:21 p.m. — The Midway BP reported a gas drive off of $40.26 by someone driving a Ford F150. The employee at the BP was able to give police the license plate number.

3:58 p.m. — An employee at Andy’s Sinclair reported someone had broken in to the establishment overnight and stolen three cartons of cigarettes. Other cars on the lot had also been entered, but nothing was reported missing.

5:50 p.m. — A 29-year-old man on the 900 block of Linden Drive reported someone had fraudulently used his credit card number on June 7 and 8 to purchase airline tickets.

6:45 p.m. — A 58-year-old man reported someone had broken into his storage unit on the 800 block of Case Street and stolen a number of items after cutting the lock on the storage door. An air compressor valued at $300 and several other items valued at about $248 were stolen.

Tuesday, June 10

12:51 a.m. — First responder call on Oak Avenue South for a person with chest pain.

5:49 a.m — Fire call on Rudy Street for a hazardous condition.

3:13 p.m. — First responder call on L Hauser Road for a person with chest pain.

3:54 p.m. — First responder call on Highway 16 for a person injured in a fall.

Wednesday, June 11

6:16 p.m. — First responder call on Bond Road for a person having a seizure.

6:52 p.m. — First responder call on 12th Avenue South for a person with a breathing problem.

9:15 p.m. — Fire call on Quarry Lane for unauthorized burning.

9:47 p.m. — First responder call on Quincy Street for a person having a seizure.

11:35 p.m. — First responder call on Oak Forest Drive for a person having a breathing problem.

10:03 a.m. — Fire call on 12th Avenue South for an activated smoke detector.

2:19 p.m. — First responder call on 10th Avenue North for a person who had possibly overdosed.
